Researcher at the Pedagoški inštitut
Maša is a researcher at the Educational Research Institute and a docent (assistant professor) of psychology at the University of Maribor. Her research work is grounded in educational and developmental psychology. Her expertise lay in social and emotional aspects of learning and teaching, including teachers’ social and emotional competences as well as precursors of students’ social behaviour and academic achievement. Her research interests include also early childhood education and care.
She has completed her doctoral degree in 2011 at the Faculty of Art, University of Ljubljana with the dissertation titled Precursors of social behaviour and academic achievement. She is currently involved in several national and international projects, including Erasmus KA3 Hand in Hand. She publishes regularly journal articles, book chapters, books and conference papers.
Maša speaks Slovenian and English fluently, but can also communicate in German and Croatian.
